A classic black tea blend elevated by bergamot citrus and notes of creamy vanilla inspired by the much adored “London fog.” Pair with milk and our Lavender Flowers to make the popular London Fog latte.

Ingredients: Black Tea, Bergamot and Creamy Vanilla.
Origin: Sri Lanka
Water Temp: 190-205F
Steep Time: 3-5 mins

Why do they call it a London Fog?
One of our favorite tea lattes, the London Fog has one of those origin stories we wonder about. As the warm milk hit the black Earl Grey tea it created a cloudy plume, turning the color of the fog-laden London afternoon and thus the name was born. (See recipe below to make yours at home)

 

Easy London Fog Drink (Earl Grey Tea Latte)

Make London Fog at home with this easy and tasty recipe. 

 

INGREDIENTS
¾ cup water
2 teaspoons Earl Grey/London Fog or Vintage Earl Grey
Lavender for garnish
2 teaspoons brown sugar1 teaspoon vanilla extract
¾ cup milk (any kind)

INSTRUCTIONSBoil water on the stove top or use an electric kettle with a temperature setting (water set to 208°F). Use filtered water for a better tasting tea.Combine tea, lavender buds, and hot water in a teapot. Cover teapot and steep for 5 minutes.While tea is steeping, make the frothed milk.Heat milk and pour into a French press. Pump French press plunger until milk doubles in volume.Heat milk on the stove top by simmering on low then turning off the heat. Keep careful watch to make sure the milk doesn't come to a boil. Stir occasionally.Fill the French press halfway with milk. You want to leave room since the milk will double in volume.Strain tea leaves and pour tea into a cup. Stir in sugar and vanilla extract.Pour frothed milk from the French press into the cup.Garnish with dried lavender buds.
