Goddess Oolong (Tie Guan Yin)
Goddess (Tie Guan Yin) Oolong -
An Oolong steeped in a long history which originates in the 19th century in Anxi in Fujian province. Goddess Oolongs are known for vegetal, earthy and somewhat nutty flavor at first and then the tea develops into delicate, floral notes. This medium bodied tea is one of the most popular in China and after enjoying the smooth cup in multiple steeps you will see why.
Oolongs are Semi-fermented teas that carry characteristics of both black tea and green tea, of which the oxidation degree will determine its proximity to green tea or black tea. It can be infused multiple times, increasing the steeping time for each infusion.
This tea is also very popular as a Milk Tea Latte and another great variation can be had by adding our Rosebuds to your Goddess Oolong as well! Go ahead and explore the varieties that you can create!
